This area is brimming with luxury chalets ranging from bijou bungalows nestled in the idyllic woodland right through to vast mountain mansions. They vary in style according to your taste but all of them are built to a luxury standard so you definitely won’t be disappointed. A home here really is the perfect place to enjoy a the après ski with guests in winter, or alternatively get out into the local area and take part in a mountain climb or order a lavish picnic from one of the many infamous local restaurants. There are also many mountain bike tracks to allow you to check out the municipal via the saddle on some of the routes used at the infamous Tour de France or even organised caving adventures to try out something different.
At a huge 1000m, it is the most northerly of the French Alpine resorts, hence enjoys the ‘Mont Blanc’ climate, already mentioned. The resort is located an hour from Geneva airport so why not have a couple of days in Switzerland before hopping over the border to your luxury home to continue your break. If flying isn’t your ideal mode of transport it is also, of course, an option to drive across. It is recommended you use a 4×4 due to the extreme weather this area can encounter. If that still doesn’t suit your needs why not really travel in style on the Eurostar through to Paris or Lille and then catching a local train or coach to Morzine itself.
Morzine is the perfect place to build your home from home and it’s proximity to other European hotspots means no hotels needed. Whether you really do want a secluded spot to get away from it all, or more of a social holiday Morzine provides in bucket loads. Other local places you may want to check out are Avoriaz, which has slopes and runs perfect for expert snowboarders and skiers and is only five minutes from central Morzine. Verbier is also nearby across in South Western Switzerland and is great for off piste skiing in winter and a huge music festival as well as trips aboard the mountainous railway lines in summer.
Just because the Alps are known for their snow sports you really aren’t limited to only doing this when you visit this fantastic area, it is more a centre point for exploration of the surrounding European countries. Impressively, Milan is only 3 hours drive from Morzine so city hopping really can be a reality with a luxury home awaiting you at the end of your adventures.
